Point 3.

ABSENCE OF EVIDENCE OF BENEFICIAL IMPACT ON THE ECOSYSTEM AS A RESULT OF THE KILLING OF KANGAROOS IN PREVIOUS YEARS

With thousands of kangaroos killed annually on these reserves over the past six years and with the ACT Government showing no intention of relinquishing this controversial practice, one would expect that by this stage the ACT Government could demonstrate the benefits (if any) of these killings, providing detailed as well as comprehensive evaluations of the changes of the biota supposedly of concern. Yet critical issues that have been disputed over the years and challenged in court remain unresolved, while the old misleading rhetoric persists and kangaroos die.
